NaNoWriMo is here! Begin your writing adventure with guides, tips, and advice throughout November!

nanowrimo-promo-picNation Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, has begun! The annual November event brings writers together, challenging them to write a 50,000 word novel throughout the month, to be completed on November 30th. Hundreds of thousands of people participate across the globe, many of whom have even had their NaNoWriMo novels published!

We’re all familiar with the tale of how Eragon came about: Christopher Paolini was just fifteen when he began writing what would later become the Inheritance Cycle. With the help of his family, the book was edited, self-published, and self-promoted, all while a teenager. Today, the Inheritance Cycle has sold more than 50 million books worldwide – all because a teenager picked up a pen and began to tell the adventures floating around in his head!

Christopher’s story has inspired countless fans to begin writing their own novels. His impact is far reaching, and the stories of those who have found success after following Christopher and his journey continue to this day. For this reason, we’re celebrating NaNoWriMo as a way to encourage Cycle readers to tackle their own adventure by completing a 50,000 word novel of their own!

So far, we’ve released the following exciting content to help inspire your writing:

Yo, I haven’t started a novel, and I got no time, and I’m 11, so how am I supposed to finish in one month!!!!!

  • Sedjwick

I would love to be able to participate in NaNoWriMo, but the timing is absolutely awful. November is usually one of my busiest months. The semester is in full swing so I’m up to my eyeballs in homework, not to mention my regular work ramps up with a lot more people needing help on their essays now, and then Thanksgiving comes on near the end of the month, and holiday chaos after that. Why can’t it be in June or July? Anyway, maybe when I finally graduate and have a steady job that doesn’t have me working constantly, I’ll be able to actually try this.

    • Morgoth of Thardszvul

July would be great ’cause schools out!

I have been writing a fantasy novel, for now about two years, Christopher was a big inspiration to start the book, but i think no publisher would want my work because of my age so… but still, how to join ?

  • R.C.
