Help keep the site alive through your contribution

We’re struggling to keep the site alive and are constantly doing all that we can to ensure that Shur’tugal never has to close its doors. However, the 40+ hours of work per week required to do this has us worn thin. To help alleviate some of our financial strain, we’re opening a donation page for Shur’tugal visitors to help offset our costs.

Despite the ads you see on Shur’tugal, we regularly run in the black. Our ads generate no more than $120 per month, and our monthly maintenance costs run at $160. (*Specific costs detailed below)

Within the next two months, we will be “rewarding” donors with exclusive digital and physical goodies/merchandise at certain donation levels. If you donate now, you’ll still be eligible to receive those goodies once they’ve been announced!

Anyone who donates between now and December 25th, 2016 will receive an exclusive, limited edition Alagaësia-inspired holiday card with a handwritten note thanking you for your donation!

*Here’s a breakdown of the costs associated with operating Shur’tugal:

Server hosting: $65 per month
Traffic mitigation (hosting assistance): $25 per month
MailerLite (newsletter): $20 per month
OptInMonster (newsletter promotion): $20 per month
VaultPress (website back-up service): $20 per month
Dropbox (file management): $10 per month

These costs don’t take into account our work time (all 40+ hours per week of which is provided for free), technology costs (computers, software), or internet costs, all of which come out of our pockets.
