This was an exciting week on Paolini.net, the Paolini family’s official website – in fact, some fans would argue that it was the most exciting week to date! Why so exciting? For the first time since the Deluxe Edition of Inheritance, Christopher has released a new piece of writing from the Inheritance universe! A new deleted scene from Inheritance, “The Swordsman,” was released exclusively through the Paolini newsletter on Saturday and posted on their blog for all fans to access on Monday. Christopher also released a series of writing tips, Talita Paolini released an article in the Washington Post, new Inheritance art prints were announced, and a “Community Highlights” post featured the best of the community’s creativity.

Deleted scene from Inheritance: “The Swordsman” – A new deleted scene from Inheritance was released! The scene introduces us to a new character: Daras Guildward, second son of Thelmund Guildsward, Lord of Fellworth Manor, and takes place during the Battle of Belatona.
“Thoughts on Writing: Odds and Ends” – Just in time for writers pariticpating in NaNoWriMo, Christopher has released an article filled with various thoughts and advice on writing!
Talita’s Washington Post – Talita Paolini, Christopher’s mother, released an article on the Washington Post’s website discussing homeschooling Christopher and his sister Angela.

“Community Highlights” – The Inheritance community’s creations and creativity shine in this new article rounding up the best content from the community, including pumpkin carvings, dragon eggs, tattoos, and more!
