I haven’t listened past the 4th podcast and don’t know if it was discussed, but i believe that in the paperback version of Eldest (chapter:On the Crags of Tel’nerir, end of pg 409- beginning of pg 410) that Oromis had a flashback, triggered by Saphira asking “When do we begin? If it was or wasn’t talked about, please let me know.

  • Guys, it’s completely normal for the BT article and podcast to be late, just relax and be patient.

Just wondering, Mike. Are you going to be making other websites later on for Christopher’s future books after Inheritance is over or are you just gonna stick to lytherus.

where is the big 20 isnt monday its new release day?

    • Do not worry – good things come to those who wait 😀

      • bigmike

But those who stand back and let life pass them by miss that which they have waited for.

        • bigmike

“That is why I crouch patiently waiting for what I am waiting for but I do not let a good opportunity pass by unchallenged. Be proactive and patient at the same time. It is hard to find a good balance, but once found, it will change the way you live for the best.” It is something my grandfather used to tell me, and he is living a very full, active, and some how simple life. He is over sixty and he still breaks young stallions and works his pasture regularly. Yet he is laid back at the same time. Im still trying to understand how he does it….. but then again, Im only 17.haha  c:I=

Do you enjoy getting the people riled up? You really do say things thats on your mind though, that I like about you but I also hate you for your lack of taste in heros……… Are you Bill O’Reilly? Or just someone who like making the people mad? I cant tell.

      • No such thing as lack of taste, everyone’s different. I love Nasuada and some people (cough cough) loathe her.

  • Brendans Mommy87

This is kinda coming out of left field, but I just started thinking, I wonder how big Shruikin is (sorry about spelling, I don’t have the book with me at the moment and for some reason, my brain isn’t working lol) He’s gotta be pretty huge right? Bigger than Glaedr maybe? Or around the same size. Of course, knowing Galby, he’s probably used magic to make him bigger than he is supposed to be. Sorry, kinda came out of know where, just popped into my head when they were talking about Galby and him in the podcast.

    • Matt S

He would only be bigger than Glaedr if Galbatorix used magic to force his growth. Glaedr was more than twice his age.

    • Anonymous

Hmmm, good question. Well if it was just natural growth, I think he would’ve been quite huge. Maybe twice the size of Saphira, or at least a bit smaller than Glaedr, who was an elder when Shruikin was killed. But as you brought up, Galbitorix most likely accelerated his growth. So maybe even bigger than Glaedr!

      • Lil Uhura

I think you meant hatched, not “killed”.

        • Anonymous

          haha whoops

Haven’t you guys heard Mike say this? I swear he’s said it at least 3 or 4 times now. But don’t worry Mike, I got this one. *Ahem* He would love to listen to the audiobooks, but he simply doesn’t have the time to listen to a book for hours and hours. If he’s gonna listen, then that’s all he’s going to do; he can’t listen while doing something else

        • Don’t worry, I totally understand if he doesn’t have time. Being a person who follows the podcasts I know, trust me. I’m just surprised because he’s such a big fan I thought he would’ve. Not that I’m saying you have to, Mike, just that I thought you already had.

      • Brendans Mommy87

Gerard Doyle is awesome I agree! But he pronounces it SEE-yoo-non, not see-yoo-NON. With the accent on the SEE. But I understand why Mike doesn’t have the time, he’s a busy guy!!!

  • Jesus

i love how lauren and mike are talking and when chris start talking and everthing gets quite and chris has hiS glowing moment of wisdom lol and about arya shes well.. SHES F***KEN CONFUSE SHE WANTS ERAGON BUT DOSE NOT WANT TO FEEL LIKE A CRATE ROBBER AT THE SAME TIME.lastly go team E+A  WE ALL KNOW THERE GONNA  GET TOGETHER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • JustPlainEric

You guys should listen to the Audiobooks! Gerard Doyle worked with Christopher on pronunciation before he recorded. It really helped me with the pronunciation of a lot of the unfamiliar words.

    • Brendans Mommy87

He doesn’t have time to read the audiobooks as he has said time and time and time again. Lets pay attention a little bit folks! lol jk, but yeah Mike has said a lot that he does not have time to read the audiobooks and I think we should be sensitive to that. He’s a really busy guy, all for the sake of us fans!

    • We’ve met gerard doyle.  We know who he is and we know he had help with the audio books.

      • Coasterking

        thats real cool

        • He’s a nice guy. (I have the Eldest audio book signed by him!)

  • Matt L

Since Lauren went off on a 20 minute rant against Arya (no offense Lauren I think youre great) I kind of feel like Arya needs someone to defend her.

I read comments all the time talking about how frustrating Arya is for sending mixed messages to Eragon.  I personally think Christopher did a great job when he wrote Arya’s character. To me she seems like someone who is conflicted in her feelings, and is having a difficult time sorting them out. I think she battles back and forth between having real feelings for Eragon and staying away so that he can focus on being a rider.

Any time Chris brings up how annoying Nasuada is, Lauren seems to defend her by saying that its not a black and white issue, and that Nasuada has some difficult decisions to make. I think the same reasoning can be applied to Arya. She has feelings for Eragon, but its not Black and white. Their relationship could have a lot of implications. So I think Arya has some tough decisions to make of her own.

We’ve been able to see a few chapters from Nasuada’s perspective which I think helps people to understand where she’s coming from. Unfortunately for Arya we can only speculate because we haven’t heard her thoughts. I just think people need to cut her some slack.

    (done with my rant)

    • Anonymous

I agree with this, well said! And some people also have to remember, Arya is NOT human. while elves are really similar to humans in lots of ways, they’re a completely different species

    • JustPlainEric

We also have to remember that she recently, for all intents and purposes, her soul-mate.  She is struggling to cope with that loss while realizing that she could have some connection with Eragon beyond just friendship.  It would be a lot to handle for anyone, especially someone who has to spend the rest of time with their decision.

    • I think you are completely correct in saying it’s gray, just like with Nasuada. I actually don’t mind Arya as a character, it just seems to me, (and maybe this is because we aren’t ever in her head, which I admit helped me a lot with Nasuada) that her responses seem a bit jumpy and all over the place, and for someone who so adamantly denied him at the end of Eldest to the point that she didn’t even want to be alone with him (and that this was pretty much how she was for most of the first two books) it seemed like a jump emotions-wise when she healed him. I don’t know, it just doesn’t sit right with me. Having said all that though, I definitely want them to end up together! 🙂

      • Matt L

You’re right she does seem a bit Jumpy and somewhat extreme in her moods. I guess that I just always attributed that to her being an elf (they seem a little high strung to me) and to her having some kind of internal struggle between admitting to herself that she has feelings for Eragon and trying to keep up the appearance of indifference. I actually feel that her healing his hand is kind of a turning point. It seems to me that she does it as sort of a reflex without thinking, and then realizes that she probably showed her feelings more than she meant to. After that she kind of lets her guard down and starts to open up to Eragon.  I know what you mean about the jump in emotions, she does kind of pull a 180, but to me it feels more like she’s giving up on her “not interested” act rather than having feelings for Eragon for the first time. Hopefully that made sense.

By the way I think you guys do a great job with the podcasts, I really enjoy all of your different view points. 🙂

  • jnez125

who needs school? I can skip school can just read all day. I’m not so sure my parents would agree but i would enjoy it 🙂

Also you guys have amazing taste in television but you forgot to mention Big Bang Theory, thats    where its at!

    • I’ve attempted to get Mike to watch that. (Because it’s hilarious)

I was successful in hooking Mike on Psych, which is an awesome show. (October 12 premiere!)

By the way, I’m under the belief that Glee is awful. I tried to watch the first episode but I thought it was terrible and not funny. Oh well!

      • Anonymous

I LOVE Psych! It’s hilarious! I am a big Dr. Who fan too 😀 I love the little tangents you guys go off on, and I can’t wait for Christopher to be on the show and talking about it too!
And I agree, Glee is pretty terrible… every possible cliche in the history of the world is in there!

        • Oh, but the music is SO GOOD! It took me a while to watch it, but I also love it.

          • Anonymous

The music is good, especially the second season 🙂 But I can’t STAND the plot!

      • JonCypher

Hey, have you guys heard of Terra Nova? What do you think about that show?

        • It just started, right? I missed the first episode, but I want to check it out and maybe review it for lytherus. It seems interesting.

      • It IS hilarious! It’s my mom’s favorite show, which kills me because I don’t think she knows a single geek or nerd reference in that show 🙂

Oh mike, just wait until we get to the whipping scene. You’ll be allllllllll worked up. Death to Nasuada!

    • funnyguy69

i don’t blame nasuada, i blame roran for being a glory starved pathetic nancyboy.  He deserved every whip and then some.

      • Anonymous

How could you say that?! He saved everyone’s life! What he deserved was to be promoted and thanked. Instead, they tied him to a post and punished him for doing the right thing! Death to Nasuada!

        • bigmike

I say she did wat she had to to keep the Varden under control. whether it was right to whip him for what he did, Im not getting into. But if she hadnt whipped him, then the rest of the Varden would have thought that they could get away with anything they wanted.

          • Matt S

I agree with you. The only thing that I didn’t like about the punishment was that it was 50 lashes. That’s a lot of lashes. 20-30 would be enough to rip the skin clean off your back and leave nothing but raw tissue. 50 lashes is something you do if you want to kill someone very painfully.

          • bigmike

But then she had Angela heal him more then usual after. So she was actully looking after him in a way. She did what she had to and he asked for the fifty lashes to stay a soldier.

          • Anonymous

She only made Angela heal him more than usual because they were gonna send him on a mission.

          • bigmike

Or that is what she told people. I have a feeling that she did that because she didnt want to punish him so much, and this way she has a way to explain having him healed more then usual. You know what Im getting at?

          • bigmike

But then she had Angela heal him more then usual after. So she was actully looking after him in a way. She did what she had to and he asked for the fifty lashes to stay a soldier.

But is the rest of the Varden related to Eragon? I realize she can’t favor him because of that, but she can’t forget who he is.

          • bigmike

She didnt. Thats why she had such a hard time debating with herself over what to do.

          • bigmike

She didnt. Thats why she had such a hard time debating with herself over what to do.

      • jfdsgs

i agree and disagree. nasuada had to punish him if she wants control over the varden, but roran was right to act like he did because he saved a lot of lives

      • Anonymous

ah darnit! I guess Ididn’t read that chapter close enough!!! Which part was he being a glory starved pathetic nancyboy????? Just so I can go back and read it? Was it after saving the lives of almost all the men under his command? Or maybe before killing almost 200 soldiers on his own? Thanks so much for pointing this out, I can’t believe I missed it!

        • Brendans Mommy87

lol Kyle, that comment of yours in response to “funnyguy69” made me laugh. Well played 😀

        • funnyguy69

i didn’t really expect much from a guy who spells his name with two e’s but guess what insabordination is insabordination just like murder is murder doesn’t matter how you spell it.  By the way it doesn’t take much skill to kill 200 weary untrained men, but then again you may be right maybe roran’s atrociuous manslaughter should be rewarded and overlooked…in case you forgot the old innocent guard in Terim.

But hey a i don’t expect much from an uneducated roran lover

          what

          • Anonymous

Okay I’m not gonna trade insults with you. Buuuut:

•my last name starts with e soo….nice try? I guess?
•yes murder is murder. So I guess you hate all the characters who kill? So Eragon, Saphira, Arya, Orik, Nasuada, Brom, Oromis, Glaedr, and many many others? Well at least you still have Jarsha!(so far)
•200 weary untrained men as opposed to Roran? Who has had little training? And apparently doesn’t get weary?
•the old man in Terim brings up the whole Torkenbrand debate, he was a threat, must be killed etc…
•but that was a very good rebuttal! You are very smart 🙂

          • bella ♥ vita

Technically you could also point out that its ironic for someone to call another person “uneducated” when in the exact same comment they misspelled both atrocious and insubordination (twice I might add). BUT I certainly didn’t say that. Didn’t say anything of the sort. Never even made this comment ; )

          • bigmike

I cant believe he is calling Galbi’s entire army untrained? They had a battle plan that ALMOST worked. They probably have strict training. Fighting them was like fighting the Persian Immortals. As soon as you kill one, he was replaced by fresh soldier who isnt nearly as tired from fighting those people in front of him.

          • Matt L

I don’t really care what happens to Roran in the long run, but in his defense i don’t really remember him putting up any fight when he found out that he would be punished for insabordination. He knew there would be consequences and accepted them. I’ve got to give him props for taking responsibility for his actions.

Untrained? So galbi’s army is untrained? Dont hate Roran just because your not as good as him. And who are you calling uneducated? It takes a complete morron to insult the favorite charactor of probably 2/3s of the members of a website open to comments from anyone who gives a d^mn. And the killing of the guard was out of defence, and roran still mourns his doing. He regrets killing him but he had to. He had been discovered and would have been captured and taken to Galbi if he would have let the guard live.

        • bigmike

This is one of the first times I actully agree with you in these comments. Hey funnyguy, if you were trying to be funny, dont insult a favorite charactor of so many people. It might get you cussed out on a less mild website.  >:(

I can’t see the difference between Murtagh killing Torkenbrand and Eragon killing that soldier, can any of you explain it to me?

    • Logic Lawyer

There is no difference, except that the person Murtagh killed was much more evil and the one that Eragon killed was conscripted against his will. Eragon is just a hypocrite.

      • fcjdskf

he’s not a hypocrite, the difference is that Eragon was acting out of self defense, the soldier he killed was armed and dangerous- Torkenbrand was on his knees, unarmed, asking to spare his life

        • funnyguy69

i’m pretty sure the soldier begged eragon for his life too, but i’ll meet you halfway and say roran was at fault.

          • jfdsgs

ill re read it sometime.. i wont contradict since i cant remember it perfectly…

          • SkinsFan

the soldier could have gone back to galbo, and spill beans to whoever, the soldier was a threat.  Torkenbrand wasn’t a threat to them, a closer match would be Sloan, which he spared

          • bella ♥ vita

Actually, Torkenbrand was a threat in exactly the same way you’re saying the soldier was. The soldier would’ve had no more direct access to Galbotorix himself than Torkenbrand would’ve. He’s at the bottom of the totem pole in terms of rank. Both would have to travel until they found an agent of the empire (soldier or otherwise) and both had an equal threat level. I’d actually say considering personality types, Torkenbrand would be the more likely to inform the Empire of Eragon, Saphira, Murtagh, and Arya’s last known location. He’s a slaver driver and gets his jollies repressing and controlling others. People like that can’t stand to have the tables turned and be at the mercy of someone else so when it happens the first thing they try to do is get revenge in order to regain that feeling of being the one in control. Its classic psych 101. Not to mention Torkenbrand wasn’t just a threat to them, but as a slave driver he was a threat to countless others. The world is a better place by far without him. Given the circumstances of both situations like the fact that Torkenbrand went after them entirely of his own free will whereas the soldier had been forced into the service of the Empire and combining that with personality types again I feel Torkenbrand was the greater threat. I don’t fault either Murtagh or Eragon for acting as they did in those situations. I feel that both were equally justifiable.

PS. Sloan isn’t a close match for Torkenbrand at all. Sloan never enslaved anyone and caused them endless suffering. Sloan was a misguided, bitter, stubborn, and selfish man whose impulsive actions backfired horrifically on himself, his daughter, and the man his daughter loved. The only person he directly and deliberately harmed was Byrd (the watchman he killed). No one else suffered directly as a result of what he did which is far more than could ever be said for even the most “gentle” of slave drivers.

    • The Green dragon

it wouldnt have been that long but it wasnt that he wanted to combine them it was that it was going to be a trilogy before the cycle, so he tried but realized he couldnt put them together, so he split them.

    • Now imagine the entire Sloan plot removed from Book 3…

That includes him rescuing Sloan, climbing down the mountain, sending him off…

THEN! Running back to the Varden, meeting up with Arya…the chapter later on…it would have shortened book 3 considerably. (Plus any plot from that that might have made it into Book 4…)

  • Logic Lawyer

Ceunon is pronounced “SEE-you-non.” Or something very close to that. That’s the way Christopher himself pronounced it when he read the sample chapter for Brisingr, shortly before it came out. I remember hearing him say it in the video.

Oh, and BTW, three cheers for the possibility of Nasuada’s death.

THREE thumbs down (yes, three) for Mike betraying the Nasuada haters. We’re all horrified. Hopefully he’ll redeem himself when “The Whipping Post” comes around.

    • bigmike

But I agree that she did the right thing in whipping Roran but still letting him  fight, not only that but making him an officer, because if  she hadnt, he might have become arrogant and others might start to oppose her orders and then the Varden will crumple and Eragon will join Galbi.

      • funnyguy69

see this is where nasuada made a mistake, she let roran live.  You have to kill the weed at the roots, any leniency at all and the next thing you know roran is strangling the last remaing remnants of life from the varden (which ironicaly sounds like garden).

        • bigmike

But then CP will have lost one of the biggest charactors in the book. He did it right for her to only whip him and not kill him. It straightened him out enough and sent a message to the rest of the Varden at the same time. Its like making the bad kid in class sit in the corner. It tells the other kids that bad behavior will be punished. You wouldnt kill a good kid that disobeys you to fix another problem would you? (which is pretty much what Roran did)

        • Matt S

If she had killed Eragon’s only living family member (excluding Murtagh), then I’d imagine that Eragon would of been mad enough to dispose of her and take control of the Varden himself. You don’t screw with the family and friends of one of most powerful beings in the land and walk away unscathed.

          • bigmike

But Eragon doesnt want to rule. He might of gotten rid of her out of anger, but given the Varden to someone else.

    • bigmike

  • Victor

i believe that eragon said that he would kill someone if nasuada told him too because he wouldn’t be making the decision himself. So if Galbatorix is a captive and nasuada condems him to death, i believe he will have no trouble killing the mad king

    • stroodle_910

      Where and when?

      • Lil Uhura

It was either when he was deciding what to do with Sloan or discussing with Arya or Islanzadi what he did to him (at the moment I can’t remember which) that Eragon came to that conclusion.

        • bigmike

Its actully repeated a couple of times.

    • bella ♥ vita

Um, considering that the full quote for that is…
“Unless we be searching for Murtagh,” suggested a third man. “You heard what Morzan’s spawn said as well as I did.”

I think we can say with 100% certainty that he’s referring to Murtagh when he says “Morzan’s spawn”.

  • I was very intrigued when I read this section of Brisingr, especially Angela’s hint toward her age. She says she’s as old or older than Galbatorix, which would mean that she was alive during the Fall of the Riders. Now, I’m all for outlandish Angela theories, so what if she was once a rider? She could be in a situation similar to Brom, where their dragons died, but for some reason they did not. Remember how Jeod remarked to Brom that even after twenty years he still had not changed – this would also explain her appearance, as she would age very slowly or even not at all. I personally think that a younger Angela Rider would be awesome!

    • Mathew M.

I think it’s a cool theory, but if Angela is a Dragon Rider, where is her dragon? It would have to be hiding somewhere to not have been seen or even known about. That seems unlikely.

If she is indeed a Rider, then her dragon must have died long ago. Riders do not always die alongside their dragons. Brom’s dragon was killed by Morzan but Brom escaped alive. He didn’t live because of some strange reason, he just managed to not get killed. Also, Brom did age, he wasn’t immortal anymore. He was human and the loss of his dragon took that away from him. He still had a much longer life than that of a normal human because of his bond with Saphira the First, and no doubt would have lived longer if it wasn’t for the Ra’zac, but he still would have died of old age at some point.

If this theory is true, then Angela would show signs of age, unless she was either an elf Rider – in which case the loss of her dragon would not take away her natural immortality – or a half-elf, which may or may not have the longevity of an elf. Or perhaps her herbs and potions had been keeping her from showing age.

However, she also said that she struggles to cast the simplest spells. This was similar to Brom’s condition. The loss of his dragon caused him to struggle more to cast magic. If this is so, then Angela would have to be a human Rider and had lost her dragon and had to rely on her herbs and potions to make her appear young – though in reality she would be aging normally, just not showing it.

Or even perhaps she is one of those rare elves that find it hard to cast spells. Christopher Paolini said that such elves exist. This would explain her apparent longevity and her problem with spellcasting. Or the classic theory of her being a half-elf.

Either way, your theory would still be really cool to see. Anything with Angela is cool!

      • dfgewf

and remember, she still hasnt revealed how she got those dragon bones 😀

        • Mathew M.

That’s right, I had forgotten about those, lol.

      • One of my favorite theories is angela was supposed to be shruikan’s rider

        • Mathew M.

I believe that, in some point during Eldest, it was said that Galbatorix and Morzan stole Shuikan’s egg and made him hatch for Galbatorix, killing his original Rider. Still, that would still be cool to see. 😉

  • Dorota

“Even if I had Galbatorix as my captive, I would not kill him. I would take him to Nasuada and King Orrin, and if they condemned him to death, then I would happily lop off his head, but not before. Call it weakness if you will, but that is how I am made, and I won’t apologize for it.”

Maybe I’m missing something, but whenever I read this quote, I always think, “Well, why doesn’t Eragon just ask Nasuada and Orrin BEFORE he captures Galbatorix. You know, he could stroll up to them and ask, ‘Hey, uh, by the way…you do want him dead, right?'”

    • Fairth

The reason is that Eragon believes everyone is entitled to a fair trial.  By the nature of such a trial, you can’t really have one unless the accused is there and has a defense to represent him before unbiased (maybe impossible, I know) jurors.

I get what you’re saying, but the taking Galby to Nasuada and Orrin means taking him to be tried as I think Eragon saw it.

      • Lforce

And Eragon would go Nasuada and Orrin, because they like Galbatorix are humans, and like it or not, leaders of their race.

      • Lforce

And Eragon would go Nasuada and Orrin, because they like Galbatorix are humans, and like it or not, leaders of their race.

      • The Green dragon

you could make the jury swear in the AL to be unbiased.

      • bella ♥ vita

That’s all great in theory and with almost ANY other case I would agree, but Galbatorix is FAR too powerful and dangerous to be allowed to live long enough for a trial. Trials take time especially fair ones. And in the mean time Eragon is giving him an opportunity to escape. If anyone ever again manages to find the opportunity to kill him and they hesitate they might as well cut their own throat because they’re going to end up just like poor Vrael. Vrael fought fair and didn’t kill him when he had the chance and as a result not only did countless other people die, but Vrael himself was killed by him. All Galbatorix needs is the slightest hesitation and opening to regain the advantage and its all over. The people of Alagaesia can’t afford for Eragon to hesitate. His hesitation will be their permanent downfall unless someone equally capable is there, able to take advantage of the exact same opening Eragon has, and willing to do what he foolishly won’t.

    • Kurt

Another example of Eragon’s poor leadership skills.  What about the elves and dwarves?  They don’t get a say in it?  There’s already pretty concrete evidence against Galbatorix and his crimes…giving him a chance to escape is just stupid.  Galbatorix will never get a trial if the elves and dwarves and anyone else with common sense have anything to say about it.  If Eragon does go on with his idiotic idea, I hope an elf sneaks in, tortures Galbatorix, and then lops off his head.  And then I hope everyone throws that elf a parade while Eragon sulks in a corner contemplating what a moron he is.

      • Tabitha K.

I agree completely. Galbatorix  has already been tried – in my opinion – by a century’s worth of hurtful deeds and decisions. He nearly succeeded in wiping out the race of dragons, and brutally hunted down and murdered all other riders (Oromis and Glaedr excluded) in addition to thousands of other atrocities. Not only that, but as the leader of the up and coming new order of Dragon Riders, both he and Saphira are going to be faced with choices tougher than this, and it worries me that he would risk allowing Galbatorix to live any longer than he already has when his fate should be obvious and justice swift.

      • bella ♥ vita

You just completely made my day with that last part! Because I can absolutely imagine that scene perfectly in my mind! Couldn’t agree with you more. For me this is right up there with his self righteousness over Murtagh killing Torkenbrand and his pushy pursuit of Arya (I want them together, but he’s so obsessive and pushy sometimes that it makes my skin crawl. Actually reminds me alot of Anakin pursuing Padme in Attack of the Clones) as one of Eragon’s most infuriating traits as well as most eye-roll and groan inducing moments.

lol nice elivator music thanks Bob

  • Mall_king_cash

    boooooo dr who

  • Dorota

I loved the percussion-ensemble arrangement of the Imperial March. Hahaha.

    • I hope a bunch of people know where I got that!

      • Aplussoccerkid

I LOVED the music THANK YOU BOB!!!

      • bella ♥ vita

BLESS YOU! The Imperial March is my ringtone, ringback tone, and my alarm sound on my Blackberry! Although I admit I do alternate between it and Hedwig’s Theme. It always brings a smile to my face so hearing it in the podcast had me grinning like an idiot and all the more so because I happened to be playing Lego Clone Wars (Don’t hate! I swear those Lego games are fun!) while I was listening! Plus, I also just watched Revenge of the Sith last night because we’ve been having a marathon since I got the complete saga blu-ray set. In the land of nerds, I am queen! lol!

        • bigmike

And my cousin is the overlord in the star wars nerds. I have quizzed him and he actully corrected me on my trick question. I was like :0

          • bella ♥ vita

lol My cousin and I do the exact same thing when we frequently quiz each other about our shared nerdly obsessions which is pathetically frequent since we pretty much spend every minute together. I’m still fuming over the star wars xbox console being delayed until next year. I could stare at pics of that thing all day. I know some people thought the R2 & 3PO theme was lame, but I loved it. A Vader theme would’ve been amazing too though!

          • bigmike

I KNOW!!!!! But for some reason, most people dont think that someone can be a redneck and a nerd at the same time, but I am. Im so nerdy that for the homecoming character day(dress up as a character) I was the He Who Must Not Be Named and it was very convincing….. I got second place to one of my friends though. Her costume was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I say that a theme of the millenium falcon flying away from the exploding death star would have been epic. Dont you agree? 😎

      • It did, I was talking about how everyone comments on how awkward the pause is, and that I always hear elevator music. But if I ever was in an elevator and the Imperial March was playing, I might be worried about where exactly the elevator was taking me! 🙂

Man a was laughing like crazy when the vibes started playing it

Hey guys, first of all thanks bob for gettin it up so quick!!! and to mike, lauren and chris, when you were talkin bout if eragon had galbatorix as his captive he wouldnt kill him, all i can think of is a scene from star wars revenge of the sith, the fight scene between anakin and dooku, when anakin cuts of dookus hand then palpatine orders him to kill him, well i think that the final fight will be a bit like that but also a bit like the final fight in harry potter, ya no harry n voldy dueling whilst the crowd is watchin, well eragon and galby are duelling, eragon remembers the death of garrow and brom which spurs him on, he cuts of galbys hands with a blazing brisingr,he has brisingr in one hand and galbys sword in the other, he looks over to nasuada, orik, orrin and islanzadi and they all nod in unison for eragon to finish the job he started, maybe a bit stupid but i like i lol

Technically, Anakin cuts off both of Dooku’s hands at the wrist. I just watched Revenge of the Sith last night for the second time since the complete saga blu-ray set came out on the 16th lol! Anyway back on topic! In Dooku’s case doing this definitely minimized him as a threat, but Galbatorix is a spellcaster and an insanely powerful one even if they had managed to capture all of his Eldunari by then. He doesn’t need his sword or even his hands to continue fighting. However, I do like the idea of at least one of the leaders being present so that Eragon and his foolish inability to kill his greatest enemy without a damn signed permission slip doesn’t cost himself and all of Alagaesia their lives.

mike are you going to the ny tour pn the 8th?

    • He should be there. I’m almost 100% sure.

It was the VP that turned around (forgetting that his mic was on his shirt) and said to Obama and said “Big F ing Deal” about the health care deal. Not the President.

  • Fairth

About Doctor Who: It is sad, but you know that they can’t stay out of the story for long.

    • Tabitha K.

I agree. Look at Rose, she was stuck in another dimension and still managed to pop up a few times.

  • Just a quick stat rundown for podcast listeners:

    64.7%      United States
      8.7%      United Kingdom
      5.0%     Canada
      4.5%     Australia
      1.9%     Germany
      1.4%     Norway
      1.1%     Brazil
    12.6%     All Others
    ——————————–
99.9%ish (there’s .1% lost somewhere in the rounding)

    • Madison

I thiks that the .1% are french listeners who don’t understand a thing :D, I’m french, I’m in love with inheritance cycle and if I can read theorie, fanfiction … and understand the meaning, unfortunely I really don’t understand what you  guys say, too bad :s
      Can’t we have a scripte?

      • I’d love to have text to go along with it but we don’t really have time to. If any of the fans *wink wink* would like to try it out, that’d be awesome.

        • Fairth

Couldn’t someone use something like Dragon Dictation to automatically turn audio into text?  I don’t know how well it works, and I know that it would be crazy to go out and buy that just for this.  But if someone already had it or if there were some other free program that could do the same thing, it might save some time.

          • Matt

The app I have for it on my phone works pretty well so I’d guess that the pc program works good.

    • bigmike

Its probably in the chaos/spirit realm. Or just that one person that has internet in some far off isolated area. But the chaos realm sounds cooler.

    • IRISH_DRAGON

  • Boom. Your wish is my command.

    • FYI: If you haven’t read the last Twilight book thing and don’t want to be spoiled…be careful with the spoiler section!

      • wiseman

thanks for the advice, I’ll keep that in mind when listening…
