Paolini Headed to Big Apple, Set to Reveal New Scene from Inheritance!

New Alagaesia newsletters usually mean big news in the world of Christopher Paolini, and this time is no different. Christopher took to his Inheritance newsletter to officially announce his trip to New York City for Book Expo America, where he’ll participate in a moderated Q&A panel, sign books for fans, and… read from Book 4?! Keep reading for more information, including how to get your hands on that excerpt if you aren’t in the NYC area!

From the desk of Christopher:

Next week, BookExpo America (BEA) is happening in New York City. I’m taking a few days to fly out and meet those of you who can attend. On Wednesday, May 25th at 5:00 p.m., I’ll be appearing at the Apple store in Soho, where I’ll be reading a never-before-released section of Inheritance!

Specific details for those of you who plan on attending:

Wednesday, May 25th — 5:00 pm
Apple Store SoHo
103 Prince Street
New York, New York

But wait, Shur’tugal: What about all of us who can’t attend? Does that mean we don’t get to see the new book excerpt?

We realize that the majority of our readers will not have access to NYC for this event and the reading of the Inheritance excerpt. Never fret — have we ever let you down on event coverage? We’ll be there snapping pictures, getting video, and most importantly — bringing the excerpt back with us!

We will be live blogging the event as it happens and will update the website with pictures, possible video, and the excerpt as soon as we make it back to our hotel.

Our sister website Lytherus will also be in the city for the entire duration of Book Expo America, reporting back on the latest and greatest from the biggest book convention of the year! Head on over to Lytherus.com between May 23 and the 26th for complete coverage of the convention!

    Hey Mike
Is there going to be a countdown on Shurtugal.com for Inheritance like there was for Brisingr?
    Really appreciate all the work

    • DaFluffs

I was wondering that too.. I think it would be a good idea! 🙂

Thanks for all the info you guys put up about Paolini and his work!

  • Dave

I love the series, but I’m getting sick and tired of waiting for info on the next (last?) book.  It’s getting close to 3 years since the last book was released.  Even at only 1 page a day he should have at least gotten it to the publisher (and for a full time author 1 page a day is plain lazy).

Ok, somewhere I dropped the ball.  I signed up for an automated info generator, and never heard the details on the release date.  I withdraw my comment.  Sorry.

    Mike is truly a godsend.

    •  I’m not sure I’d go that far, but I’m glad you guys appreciate my work. 🙂

Godsend? Doubtful. Empowerer to what some call an unhealthy addiction to Inheritance cycle. Definantly.

        • Emeraldi

he has his hobbies(or is it jobs?) , you have yours

His hobbies/jobs just happen to be empowering what some call my unhealthy
addiction to the Inheritance Cycle! 😉
