Happy Fourth of July

From our family to yours, Shurtugal.com wishes all of our United States viewers a very happy (and safe!) Fourth of July! Our staff is hard at work sifting through the hundreds of submissions we received for this month’s Q&A before we send Christopher the very best. Hang tight, we’ll have another great interview for you soon! In the mean time, check out last month’s interview with Christopher Paolini and go enjoy some fireworks!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    ;D

  • jordi

    ya thats true

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I have heard of Dungeons and Dragons!

Aye, but it might be that the male/female ratio was always one to five, like there are more male dwarves then females in most fantasy books.

  • jordi

still it is famous like d&d

isn’t it wierd that out of 5 dragons only one is female?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I don’t play many tabletop games.

  • jordi

really?, thats crazy warhammer is uber famous

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Oh, never heard of it.

  • jordi

    oh warhammer is tabletop

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Um, haha, no, computer game.

  • jordi

is that a table top game?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Yay! My new Saphira is up on fan art! It is the computer drawn one.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Nope, ever played Dungeon Siege?

  • jordi

hey anyone on here play warhammer????????

  • burk

ya you should stop commenting on this, “so CAn yo do it?”

  • borgan

Mabeafanifnextook i hope your never a fan because if you ever are it will mean that the books have gone to the dogs

  • jordi

    exactly

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

More like Sam killing Mr. Frodo.

  • jordi

dont forget saphirashe could tilt the tables so eragon would win but it would be stupid if he randomly tryed to kill her

  • MeghanSwiftSword

And Eragon couldn’t kill Arya!!! That would be like Sam trying to kill Aragorn! No offence, but that is absolutely ridiculus.

  • jordi

wow you think arya should get the egg then eragon should kill her then leave and just fight everything……how stupid

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea, no offense Mabeafanifnextook, but have you even read all of the books? If you had (thoroughly) then you would understand that what your saying is ridiculous. And if you really think all of that then why are you even still interested in the books? No one is forcing you to read them.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Mor’ranr, Mabeafanifnextook. I understand if everyone has their own opinions, but the near swearing is not a necessary. For there to be war in a books, there must be also peace, I for one, like the times of peace and also enjoy writing and reading battles. But there must be balance else the book does not the have the proper character development and information given to give the story a plot. I do understand also that wars are bloody, but they need not show all of the gore of war else many will not be able to see the movies or read the books. Also, both the peace and the war have something to show us that can teach us values, with out one, we are in ignorance somewhat.

  • burk

    Mabeafanifnextook stop commenting on this!

  • borgan

    Mabeafanifnextook your a moron

  • Mabeafanifnextook

back to bloodshed … harry potter was alright ending should have been done way better… but blood shed we all know ergon is going not evil presay but he will find that king g is right … you gotta presevre the dragons …. the elf chick get the green dragon ergon kills the beotch… cant live with him self runs away to far land where he sits hiding … now this book will only be good if a) yes there where some great nonbattle sences but action man i dont care about what the landscape looks like when you go into about 40 pages of that then finish the book with a random ass battle not very intense just lame kinda … p.s. harry potter could be a great evil ass a child but ergon stands no chance …. VIA LA EVIL

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I know, it was so funny!

  • MeghanSwiftSword

I SAW HARRY POTTER 6 AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!! I think that was the 3rd best Potter movie they’ve made! It was brilliant. They left out some details and kinda added in some stuff, but it was still fantastic!

Seemed to me like it was prbably the most amusing one they’ve made so far; I was laughing quite a lot.:)

  • borgan

mike, not to be rude but do you have any idea when the next interview will be up?

  • jordi

    oh ok

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Nay, it was at the beginning of the seventh, they were at the Burrow already.

It did in a way tell what happened to Dumbledore’s hand, but only vaguely.

No, he is taking about the book Hermione showed him at the Burrow, the one that said that a horcrux had to be killed with something such a baslisk venom and the Gryffindor sword.

  • jordi

ha they also hinted to the whole Dumbledores plan but they didn’t say how he messed up his hand

by the horcrux book do you mean tom riddles diary?

  • Shadeslayer70

Well harry doesn’t learn how to destroy horcrux’s till the 7th one does he? I haven’t read the book in a while. Does hermione show him the horcrux book at the end of the sixth book?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Yeah, they had Tonks looking like she was suppose to, but they were already dating!

No, he did not, but they did hint that there was a seventh horcrux in… well, in you know who.

  • jordi

ya i know almost all of tonks and remus was messed up

also i just realized that harry didn’t learn how to destroy a horcrux in this movie

  • jordi

ya but the inheritance store doesn\’t sell any good swords other then zar\’roc i think i am going to bye from kingofswords.com but im not sure if its legitimate i might get it from swordscompany.com

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I know the fire was brilliant!!

I dunno, I have just always loathed Bellatrix for Sirius and the rest that she had tortured and killed.

Since when was ‘Dora and Remus already together at Christmas? In the books, they were mad at each other in the books, that is why ‘Dora’s hair was mousy brown!

  • Shadeslayer70

Oh, and Jordi, you could always get a sword here at the inheritance store, thats where im going to get mine.

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea the inferi part was awesome, but i really liked the effects when dumbledore drew them away. That was amazing!!

  • jordi

    {{{{{spoilers again}}}}}
and they sort of skiped the whole thing with tonks and remus being way different ages and all that

  • jordi

    ya the inferi were great

i didn’t really ind bellatrix cus she has to be like that

))))))))))spoilers(((((( but i think with remus they were doing a really bad job of conveying that he was doing the under cover thing in the were wolf colony

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I know! That was weird. And what was wrong with Remus??? He was just kind of staring out into space half of the time, I though it was right after or before a full moon.
****SPOILER****** I thought it was sad after the Professor died, when Harry went back into the office and saw the half finished drink and the small dish of lemon drops. The inferi were brilliant!!! Bellatrix was completely mental and was really really happy that she was able to kill Sirius. I took my own wand to the showing and I found myself gripping it tightly every time she goaded Harry about it.

  • jordi

    thanks anyways

“)))spoilers(((“ya it was weird though because the borrow didn’t have any protection in the movie, it was only Hogwarts, actually it wasn’t really the borrow it was just sort of Rons house

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Nope, sorry, mate.

Yeah, but it was a really really good movie nevertheless! I actually noticed several bits where it rather shadowed or told part of the story of Deathly Hallows, such as the argument between Snape (I still like to sometimes call him Snivellus, but that is just me!) and Dumbledore and ****SPOILER ALERT**** the seventh horcrux being, well, you understand you I am talking about. Bellatrix was completely out of her mind in this one! And if she said that she killed Sirius Padfoot Black one more time I was going to insane!
“I killed Sirius Black, I killed Sirius Black, you coming to get me???” >:(

  • jordi

oh, you wouldn’t by any chance know any legitimate sword sights would you?

ya but they skipped the dursleys part but i guess it doesn’t matter it was still uber

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    A festival.

I SAW HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE!!! IT WAS BLOODY BRILLIANT!!!!

  • jordi

hey padfoot where did you get your sword?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahaha, I just submitted another thing of fan art, it is Saphira drawn on the computer! ;D I get bored easily! ;D

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I can’t wait to see it!!!!!!!!

I know, but each person has their own images of creatures and characters in book, every one of our minds work differently.

  • jordi

ya i mean his painting was good but it didn’t have a beak it just sort of had a pointy mouth

  • Shadeslayer70

Yes, thankfully my theater had a midnight showing!! It didn’t stick completely to the book but it made it work. I still think it was awesome!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

YOU SAW IT? DID YOU GO TO THE FIRST SHOWING??? I am going to go see it, hopefully today!!!!

  • MeghanSwiftSword

Oh man you are so lucky!! I’m going to see that tomorrow and I’ll review.:)

  • Shadeslayer70

Alright, sorry i know this is way off topic, but i just saw the new harry potter movie… LOVED IT!!!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

You lot know how I imagined the lethrblaka because mine is in the fan art.

I like his version of it, but like you guys, it just did not look right to me.

  • Daniel

I always imagined it as a beetle on steroids with weird appendages… ;D

  • Shadeslayer70

Well i wouldn’t say the lethrblaka looks bad or anything, i was just pictuing it different in my head. I was thinking it would be more bulky.
But the one he painted doesn’t look bad at all.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    I like his dragons better.

I guess I would choose a dragon, but if there was no mental connection, I would choose hippogriff.

Aye, being prepared helps, but I think it was also because he was drunk mentally.

  • jordi

ya what do you think of palancar’s lethrblaka painting?

i think he is good at drawing dragons but i didn’t like the lethrblaka i mean it had a pointed mouth with teeth not even a beak

  • jordi

    ya i geuss so

ya i would choose a dragon to

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea, id say dragon too for two reasons. One I would really like the mental connection, i just think that would be so cool. Also, the firebreathing thing, i mean how awesome is that!!

  • MeghanSwiftSword

Yea, I think being prepared always calms people down.:)

And if I had to choose between a hippogriff and a dragon, I would definately say dragon. Hippogriffs rock, though.

One day until Harry Potter 6 is out!!!

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea, that is true, and back at the varden he didn’t really have time to prepare to say anything, they kind of just put him on the spot. For the blood oath celebration, he had time to prepare for what he was going to say.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I am going to see it Wednesday!!!

    I like Beaky.

Because he was completely out of his mind during it, remember? He was almost drunk without drinking as wine! He also tried to woo Arya as well, remember?

  • PhoenixLord

cant wait 4 it! going to watch it in imax on the 29. the stupid imax place made a long deal with transformers so in imax it releases on the 29 here

  • HB

    @alucard: not until tomorrow unfortunatly

  • alucard

is HP already out in the UK?

  • jordi

ya the common griffin sort of look is equally sweet but i guess i just have seen it so often that it got boring

hey ever notice that during the blood oath celebration eragon talked in front of a crap load of elves but then after he returns with arya from helgrind in brisingr he has trouble talking to a crowd of humans?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Aye, I have seen that one. Sorry, maybe I am just partial to Beaky.

  • jordi
  • jordi

what Im saying is that the harry potter one looked just like a griffin with horse back legs instead of loins nothing against normal griffin style but until you have seen the d&d hippogriff then you haven’t even seen one

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Thanks for the update, Mike!! I like both dragons and hippogriffs, if I could find one like Saphira I would take a dragon, if no, I want a hippogriff.

  • Shadeslayer70

Good to hear Mike! I bet everyone is just as siked as i am to hear that. I can’t wait to see what he had to say for all of our questions!!

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea i say the one from the movie looked pretty cool. I wouldn’t mind having one. Though i would still rather have a dragon any day.

  • Mike

We’ll have the answers posted very soon. 🙂

We’ll be opening questions for this month’s interview shortly after posting last month’s interview (in the next day, two at most). However, this round of questions will not be open as long as we have kept them open in the past… probably 5 or 6 days at most. I’m hoping to reduce the amount of questions submitted per month so that we’re not spending days just sorting through the hundreds of questions submitted.

    Stay tuned!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

BEAKY!!!!! Don’t insult Beaky (though I admit that they had his front legs facing the wrong direction, but I love Beaky from the books!)

  • jordi

ya but the harry potter hippogriff sucked

    the d&d one kicks ass

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahahaha, that is not what I meant, mate.

  • Shadeslayer70

Well hippogiffs are very cool, i would like to ride one. Thought i don’t think it would be any match for saphira.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Yes, I think that is what Mike said. Just hold your hippogriffs everyone and be patient!

  • Shadeslayer70

Though i do think they said it will be soon, and next months interview will be on time.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Aye.

  • Shadeslayer70

Well i know that Mike, and everyone else is working really hard, sorting through all the questions that were asked, and they will have the next interview up as soon as they can.

  • waterwind

when are the round two questions with Christopher going to be updated? i’m dying here. its been weeks and not a word. anyone know anything?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    WOOHOO!!! HARRY POTTER!!!

    Yeah, exactly, Shadeslayer70.

  • Shadeslayer70

Heck, yea im really looking foreward to going to see the new harry potter movie, i just hope the theater im going to has a midnight showing. 🙂

And yes while the battle scenes in the book are great, if we had them more often they would become less special. The fact that there is so few of them in the books is what makes them so cool!!

  • jordi

hey btw in is a reference to doctor who it isn’t even very covered up

  • jordi

    hell ya!

  • MeghanSwiftSword

Yea, the war scenes are spectacular, but we do need a little peace in books, I guess..:)

So, this is really off topic, but anyone pumped for Harry Potter 6 to come out as a movie in 2 days?!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I love battles, I love to read and write them, but stories need more than just bloodshed. Softer scenes are needed and those are equally if not more precious than the battles. There would be no character development.

  • fireswordshurtugalalfakin

I agree with you guys too.I liked more the scenes without bloodshed.Especially, when I am rereading great battle-scenes(e.g.the battle of the Burning Plains,Feinster,Gilead),I get a bit nervous even if I know now how they end. So,when I just reread some parts of Inheritance, the most times arent great battles.

  • HeWhoIsAFool

I’d have to agree with you guys. I mean for me the non war scenes like the training by Oromis in Ellesmira in Eldest and the discussion with Arya by the campfire in Brisingr were the among best parts so far, definately better than pure bloodshed.

  • jordi

no offense but that is a dumb request i mean if there was a war every 50 pages there would be no story and no time for other things i mean each war is like 50 pages so there would be go here go there it would be stupid

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I know that we each have our own opinion, but can I voice mine as well? Wait, you want more blood and guts? C’mon, mate, anymore fighting than what has to be done and Eragon going to go off of the deep end!

  • Mabeafanifnextook

sorry i miss the deadline for the ask chris question but i was reading (this is not a question)…i just want more/longer eragon bloodshead scences…. like every 50 pages atleast theres a war come man !!!!!!!!!! we the readers need a great book. CAn yo do it? oh wait i guess it was a question

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Okay, thank you.

  • Shadeslayer70

Oh, i see what you were saying, and thats a very good point, well i am there now.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

What are what about? I was saying let us go the that thread so that we are not bothering anyone.

I want to guide, and I think that my Brisingr is good enough for me.

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea, i would only get the edition, for the deleted scenes, but i probably wouldnt buy it. My first copy is good enough.

  • Shadeslayer70

Oh oh oh, yea it means “to” thats right, lol. And those both sound really really familiar, what are they about?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    ‘to’

I want the guide, not the edition I do not think.

  • Shadeslayer70

Ok, what does eom mean again?? i cant think of it.

And are you going to get the deluxe version of Brisingr and Eragon’s guide to Alagaesia? I really kind of want to get the guide.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Yeah, he was.

    Oh. Interesting.

Atra nosu ganga eom REVIEW: Bloodhound, The Legend of Beka Cooper.

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea i really liked remus too, he was kind of like Harry’s best (adult) friend. Aside from Sirius of course.

Lol, no not dexters lab. Its a show on showtime, and its about this serial killer that works for the cops. Its pretty interesting.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Yeah, I wish they did, though I would probably cry every time I read it, Remus was my second favorite.

Um, Dexter’s Lab? that is the only one I can think of.

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea now i think back, they didn’t have a scene.

Hey, have you ever watched the show Dexter? It is an awesome show!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Sirius did.
    Bellatrix did.
    Fred did.

They did not get a death scene, remember? I know, I was so sad about that. At least Teddy still had his godfather and grandmother!

Well, in that way, Sirius was like Roran, they both fight for who they love. Um, I dunno, Roran is stronger but Sirius would have more of a street fighting form, he would be using all opportunities that he could find. Younger Sirius might win, but I am not sure about older Sirius.

  • Firestone

Your doing a good job. I totally understand. I just don’t agree :D. JK.

  • Shadeslayer70

    Really they did? Did Tonks?
And i wasn’t really sure about the whole remus and tonks dying thing, it just sort of surprised me.

And that is an odd thought. I wonder who would win in a fight between roran and sirius, if sirius didn’t have magic, and both katrina and harry were at stake?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I know, that is one of the reason’s he is my favorite characters, he has such a big heart for those he cares about, almost like Roran. He would do anything to protect them.
Yeah, I liked the animagi in the PoA, plus Remus. I also liked the fight between Sirius and “Snivellus”. ;D

I know, she went into so much detail, I really feel bad for both Harry and Sirius in that one, both have the same problem in a way and they are all they have for family. I am glad about what happened to Bellatrix! I hate her! Did you notice that anyone with relations to Sirius that died dies laughing like he did?

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea i agree about Sirius’ death, he cared about harry so much, he wouldn’t wanted to go out any other way. And i also really liked the prisoner of azkaban too, cause it kind of had two really climactic parts. The second one because of the time travel. 🙂 And yea i really liked the order of the pheonix too, because it was like the start of a whole different thing with all the main characters aware that voldemort was back, and JK went into a lot of detail in that one too!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I think the Prisoner of Azkaban would have to be my favorite, Sirius is my favorite character and I really like how he is so misunderstood and Harry really gets to know the truth about his parents’ murders. I loved the Half Blood Prince, but the romance was too much. I like the Order of the Phoenix a lot, because of its darkness and it shows a side of Harry that we didn’t really get to see before, I think JK did brilliantly at Sirius’ death, I think that is the way he would have wanted to go out, if he had to die in the books.

  • Shadeslayer70

Lol, yea i did something sort of the same. Which one do you like the best? For me it may actually be the half blood prince, but im not 100% sure.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    ;D Hahaha.

Aye, at least three times, I read Deathly Hallows twice in exactly a week after it came out.

  • Shadeslayer70

Heck yea! I just really hope the movie theater in my town has a midnight showing.

Have you read all the books already?

  • PadfootUnewralthSlayer

    ;D

I KNOW!!! Are you going opening night? I think I am!

  • Shadeslayer70

Oh, ok, thats cool, just wondering.

Man i can’t wait till wednesday!!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I dunno, I just don’t really want to.

  • Shadeslayer70

Oh, by the way, Padfoot, just out of pure curiosity, why don’t you go ahead and register for the site? I mean that way you wouldn’t have to have guest beside your name. Just curious is all.

  • Evarinya

Without a doubt.. Eragon would win.

  • Shadeslayer70

Eh, it might be doctor who, i wouldn’t really know, i don’t watch doctor who.

Though there is the little fact of Eragon breaking into Aang’s mind, which Aang has no training in, so Eragon would crush him.

  • PhoenixLord

Dont forget the avatar state. Those of you who have seen the last epesode know that he KICKED ASS it was an ultimate attack. And he gained the power to take away other peoples bending so saphira would have no fire and eragon would have to use one of the 12 words of death so he would still lose 🙁

  • jordi

ya but he also said that the doctor could travel anywhere including alternate reality’s so it has to be doctor who

  • Shadeslayer70

Well, at the end, when Christopher is talking, he says that he made some reference to a doctor, when Eragon and Arya are sitting around the camp fire. Something about a lonely god, or something like that.

  • jordi

is their actually a reference to doctor who in brisingr?

  • jordi

ya bu then naruto would just pwn eragon and saphira

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Yeah, Aang would make a nice snack for a dragon.

    Aye, I am!

  • Shadeslayer70

Well of course Eragon would win, if somehow Aang overpowered him (which is doubtfull) Saphira would just eat him. 🙂

And Padfoot, I thought you said you were counting down the days for the 6th movie? lol, i know i am.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Aye, Eragon would win.

  • jordi

    i know it looks great

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

HARRY POTTER, I want to see that so badly!!

  • jordi

ya but i think eragon would be victorious because aang wouldn’t know if eragon touched his mind and eragon could then pwn him

ya buy the first part of 7 comes in 2010

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Ah, wicked! I did not know that.
I can’t wait to see it!
Um , my Mum told me to say that between the fight with Aang and Eragon, she would win because she could close the book. I think Eragon would win, but I like Aang too!

  • Shadeslayer70

Though thankfully not ALL good movies are coming out in 2010, the 6th Harry Potter movie comes out this wednesday!

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea i really want to see it too, but i don’t think it is coming out till 2010. But at least it is something to look foreward too. 🙂

And yea, Ang and Eragon would be one heck of a fight!

  • jordi

the last airbender its going to be a trilogy so far to

  • jordi

    ya lt looks pretty good

    ya suurre

ever notice thatall the goot movies are coming in 2010?

  • PadfoorUnewraithSlayer

I know, I want to see it so badly!

Oh, I did not know that!

  • jordi

    or samus

hey they are making a live action avatar except it will just be called the last airbender

wow im surprised you called it avatar the last airbender, in Britain it is called avatar legend of aang

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    ;D Aye, it stinks.

Or Ang from the last airbender! I am going to name mine, I just have not found one yet.

  • HeWhoIsAFool

does anyone know when the next Q/A will be or at least when we will have the answers from this one… kinda irrelevant question for this topic but as my name states i’am a fool so i don’t think it’s so bad after all…

  • jordi

well… mabey naruto could take him on…

ya i have a name already but not a sword yet and i might change the name i have now

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea i know how it is when friends move, it sucks.

And your probably right, i should be heading off too, so talk to you later.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Aye it does, it is so much heavier. Well, mine moved, so I am going to be fighting thin air now. 🙁

I know, “Expect to lose”, but ninjas are the closest things I could think of to elves.

Look, mate, I have to go to bed. Nice talking with you and I hope we can do it again.

  • Shadeslayer70

Ok, that makes more sense. I bet it feels wierd with the weight difference when you pick up the sword again. Man, i wish i had a friend that would think swordfighting with staves was cool. And its not like the town i live in is going to open a swordfighting shop anytime soon, lol.

Nah, i don’t think a ninja could even take him as he is now. Remember what Brom said: when fighting an elf, no matter how old…

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Staves. Um, it was either learn not to fall over and to move swiftly or get injured, we may not have been playing with swords, but we were still drawing blood.

    Hahaha, maybe a ninja!

  • Shadeslayer70

So do you guys actually fight with the swords, or do you use wooden staves, like Brom and Eragon did? And where did you learn to get as good as you are? Or did it just come naturally? lol.

And I don’t think anyone in our world could really take Eragon on if all they had was a sword. 🙂 Young Eragon, probably, but not after the dragons changed him.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahaha, I love it, though I think I might have too much of a Lord of the Rings style for fencing.

I’m alright, my friend said was starting to give him a run for his money and that is I suppose saying something because he is one of those anime/ninja fans and he is always learning new ways of fight. Haha, I suppose I am alright, though I got more injuries than he did, I am the only one who has scars from the fights, anyway. Um, maybe young Eragon, but not now!

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea, learn how to swordfight is one of the things on my list of things to do before i die. I’d like to do it with actual swords (very carfully, lol) but i think, fencing is probably going to be the most available thing to me… though, if i do that, the weight would throw me off. Eh maybe i’ll find somewhere that teaches it.

So are you any good at it? Could you take anyone on in Eragon? 🙂

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Oh.

    It’s a hand-me-down, sorry.

Aye, well my dad’s nearly makes you fall over if you try to swing it is so badly off balanced. I take them out and swing them abit, but I did spar with one of my friends a lot, I love sword fighting, he was more lithe than I was, but I was stronger, so we were well matched.

  • Shadeslayer70

No i don’t go to mugglenet, but i will certaily check it out, im a big harry potter fan myself. This is really the first fansite that i have been any kind of involved in, lol.

And where did you get your archery set? That sounds like it would be fun.

Yea, i can see after reading Brisingr how the balance and the hilt, and all that could throw you off. Do you actually use your sword at all? Like could you swordfight if you wanted to? Or is it mainly just for show?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I know! I have been counting down! Do you go to Mugglenet?

Yeah, I was mad, not I have lost most of my arrows trying to shoot at this smaller box (I admit I am a bad aim).

The one my dad has looks a lot like a dragon rider’s sword, but it is not balanced properly, the blade is too heavy for the base, the hilts also cut into your knuckles because they are dragon wings.

  • Shadeslayer70

Lol, yea, you were right. And I like that quote too, and am hoping to get some new ones when the 6th one comes out this wednsday.

And that doesn’t sound very nice, i sure would be mad if someone ran over anything of mine.

And also, though i am probably going to get Zar’roc, im not sure if i want to use that name. (“misery” doesn’t exactly match my personality)

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahaha, I thought you did! I love that quote too, though I like the one about fleas from Sirius better.

Um, we used it as a sign for a garage sale and someone just ran it over right in front of our house. Gits.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

No, I want to though, I am still thinking of a name. It is about the same length as a hobbit blade (I am only 5.1), it is slightly curved single sided blade. My dad also has a sword that is in my room, but it is not balanced right for me.

  • Shadeslayer70

Lol, yea i did mean too, that has become one of my most favorite quotes… well ever. But how did it get run over? I can’t imagine you just leaving it in the middle of the street.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahahaha, did you mean to quote Hermione? Yes, that is ‘potentialy problematic’. ;D

  • jordi

hey i do archery to but im not very good yet and im trying to find a sword online that will ship to canada
    and actually looks good

hey padfoot did you name your sword?

  • Shadeslayer70

Well, yea, that could be potentialy problematic.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Well, I have to find a new box, someone ran over the one I was using.

  • Shadeslayer70

Eh, i bet it’s just like riding a bike. You’ll pick it right back up.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

To be honest, I have not used it in a while, I am kind of rusty.

  • Shadeslayer70

Lol, thats ok. You’ll have to tell me more about that archery set sometime, that sounds really cool!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Swords are good! I have archery set too though.

Aw, thanks. I probably will be, can’t make any promises though. Bye!

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea, i would like to get one, and i figured, if i am, then why not get one from Eragon. lol. But if you find out how much the one on this site is, let me know.

I think i am going to log out right now, but i will probably be on sometime tomorrow. Are you going to be? You are an fun person to talk to.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I have a sword, but not from Eragon.

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea, i will proly reread it a few more times before the last book comes out. lol. Oh hey before i log out, you wouldn’t be able to tell me how much Zar’roc is in the inheritance store would you? It is “currently unavailable” right now, and im interested in getting it. (Though I would much rather get Brisingr (the sword) if i could)

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    I am rereading, Brisingr.

  • Shadeslayer70

Well after having read Brisingr again, i couldn’t stop there, so now im reading Eragon again. Again. lol. This time im going to be looking for hints as to what will happen in the last book.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Could be.

  • Shadeslayer70

I don’t know, i could be wrong, but i do think that, that and the thing that happened with the menoa tree are connected.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

That is kind of what I was thinking too.

  • Shadeslayer70

So what is everyone’s take on the Rock of Kuthian and the Vault of Souls? Personally i think it has something to do with the type of magic the dragons used to banish the forsworns dragons names. Because every time eragon tells someone about it, they say that it sounds very familiar, but cant remember from where. (I got to say, it sounds familiar to me too… but i don’t think that means anything)

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Yeah, though my name more refers to the creature, I also go by that Padfoot too.

    Aye, that too.

  • Shadeslayer70

Lol, yea i guessed that by your name.

And, i would also say its going to be a female, because of Eragon’s vision he had, about him and a female standing on a boat, and two dragons circling overhead. Personally i really hope that the female is Arya, man i really hope they get together!!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahaha, yeah, I know, he is one of my favorite characters in Harry Potter.

Aye, I think the next Rider is going to at least be an elf, and probably female too if I had to make a guess, not being bias, but all of the current Riders are male.

  • Shadeslayer70

Oh yea thats right, it was Sirius, he’s pretty cool.

And yea, if it wasn’t Arya, then i would have to say it would be an elf. The past few riders have all been human, and the dragons really like symmetry, so i think they would really like to even it out with picking an elf as a rider.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

It was Sirius Black, mate, from the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie.

Hahaha, yeah, I seriously doubt him, though someone of Ellesmera is more likely than any.

  • Shadeslayer70

Hey padfoot who said that quote? Its driving me crazy.

As for me I’d say more like 2% for Vanir. Because he wasn’t all that big of a character i think.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    5% for Vanir for me.

  • jordi

i would say at least 10% for vanir 80% arya and 10% someone completely different

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    PhoenixLord, what?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I did not mean like Galby, I meant more like the arrogance and other features the others would have because you know they would have had to grow rather lazy and arrogant because of their power and etc.

Yeah, I like Murtagh, he is not my favorite character, but he has had a harsh life but still holds the essence of good, he is just no able to rid himself of darkness.
As one of my favorite characters said “the world isn’t split into good people and [bad people]. We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are”
Murtagh has both light and dark, and though his strives for the light, he willingly and unwillingly acts on the dark.

  • Shadeslayer70

Well i wouldn’t go so far as to say that he would go over to galbatorix, but yea he is a prick. Unless Galbatorix somehow found out his true name and forced him into it like Murtagh.
God i really hope Christopher doesn’t kill Murtagh. I know it seems like he is a little… well… bad, but he makes several mentions of how Murtagh is doing this against his will and he doesn’t want to do it. I mean in the first part of Eldest, he went with Ajihad to try and prove that he was loyal to the varden. That has to count for something.

  • PhoenixLord

the best rider would be padfoot 🙂 but otherwise i would have to say arya. there is about 4% chance of it being vanir

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Aye, he does. I would be so angry if Vanir was the Rider, I would be the next corrupt Rider, mark my words.

  • Shadeslayer70

I agree with Padfoot, he would be all wrong for a rider. He’s an arogant twit. And I know Christopher hints, and foreshadows a whole lot, (which i appreciate) i don’t think it will be him.

Besides, he has hinted a whole lot more that it might be Arya in a lot more subtle ways. There are several references in all the books that relate Arya to the color Green. Like the color of her magic. And her eyes.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Oh, I hope it is not him! He is a git! A complete fool! He would be too arrogant!

  • jordi

i think it will be vanir(i might be spelling it wrong)

cp said he hinted heavily in eldest about the next rider and i think he meant when eragon an vanir were sparing and vanir was making fun of eragon so eragon turned around and said “why don’t you fight galbitorix yourself then?”

  • PhoenixLord

LOL 6 pages of questions would be a lot but 6 pages of people talking ABOUT the questions is just laugh out loud LOL. This entire thing is ridiculous! cant wait for a great interview Mike!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I think Arya, Roran has too much responsibilities already, he would not be able to properly take care of and protect a young dragon.

  • Shadeslayer70

So who do you think is going to be the green dragon’s rider? My money is on Arya. Though (i don’t think it would be as good a fit) it could also be Roran.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Aye, it was!

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea and the scene at the end of Brisingr where… (well i don’t want to say it in case someone hasn’t read the book…) well it was just a good moment for them. lol. I really liked it.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I know, he is certainly one for just skirting the fans’ interest to make it more interesting for the fans, just enough to keep up interested in the relationship.

  • Shadeslayer70

And, you just have to be a little patient. They will have the interview up as soon as they can.

  • Shadeslayer70

Yea I know thats so cool! I just really hope Eragon and Arya will eventually get together. I’ve liked them for a couple since the first book, and Christopher has been playfully dancing around the idea ever since.

  • Riggisb

Come on now.. There’s no reason for it to be taking this long.. I knew this monthly thing wasn’t going to happen..

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Aye, it is not everyday that author’s will let their fans ask them question every month!

  • Shadeslayer70

Thats very true it might take a while. And for all we know, this could mean that they are trying to do something special for us. Personally I say, no rush. I am just excited at the fact that we even get to ask Christopher these questions.

  • Nobunaga

man you guys need to calm down. i bet theres even more than a thoussand questions, and we all should be thankful that we even get this opurtunity. its true ive been impatiant, but we need to except that it may take awhile

  • Shadeslayer70

Hey Mike, I just wanted to thank you and everyone else that is working so hard on getting the next interview up. I’m really anxious to see it and to ask my own questions for the next one 🙂 So keep working hard, and know that we are all looking forward to it.

  • jordi

hey this will keep people busy for a while

    it kicks ass

  • fireswordshurtugalalfakin

Mike, youre doing so much for us.Take as much time as you want.Youre doing great work and you get tired to satisfy us.Ignore fans who might be impatient (they are just thirsty for more Inheritance).Im glad that you are preraring and other things for us.Im sure theyll be wonderful. You have my sympathy for your hard work.Keep up hard work.

  • timmy

    hey anyone here have facebook?

  • ARepentantAthena

A little constructive criticism never hurt anyone 😉

Sorry for being offensive Mike. I’m just impatient and I adore Inheritance. I think the monthly interviews you are giving us are an amazing chance to communicate with Christopher that no one expected to have, and, as such, a great gift. So thank you

  • MeghanSwiftSword

Hahaha, yea, when I was reading Harry Potter and read the word snog about 15 times, I had to ask my british friend what it meant.:)

We know you work your REALLY hard Mike. We really appriciate what you do for us on here.

  • ShurtugalLiam

Im British so i dont celebrate independance day, but happy forth July for all americans and candians (if you celebrate it :S lol)

and well done mike, your doing a great job with shurtugal, ignore the impatient people “/

and i dont use the term snog lol, i say kiss 🙂 cause im not a noob

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

We are hear for you, Mike, mate!! We know that you are busy!!! ;D

  • Mike

Enjoy your break from the comments, Athena. 🙂

The interview should be posted within the next few days. Next month’s interview (technically this month’s) will be posted on time.

Again, I’ll remind everyone: I do this for free and I do this along with another full time job. If you take issue with the service I provide, remember that you’re paying nothing to visit this website. I try my hardest. If you’re not satisfied, no one is making you stay here.

Thank you to the vast majority of you who are understanding. Your patience will be rewarded soon! 🙂

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahaha, yes, I am American, but I have an British of Irish accent sometimes, I don’t really know why!
Yes, I am not a boy either. The name more refers to the creature more than the character.

  • jordi

no i just dont read the parts that say anything to the effect of “hey remember when this happened” or “this part was great”

  • Chris

If you haven’t finished Brisingr by now…you really shouldn’t be reading through the comments lol

  • Athena

Interview once a month, Ha! False advertising! It only took one month for Shurtugal to get behind… At least they are consistent.

  • iHateElves

*sigh*… I wonder how long until the interview comes out?

  • jordi

wow if you live in canada the time line on this site is so screwed up like it’s 10:36 am here

  • timmy

oh thats weird i thought padfoot was a guy, no offense just the name

  • jordi

snogging is a British term for well I’m not sure if its kissing or making out

  • fireswordshurtugalalfakin

Ah,and dont ask Padfoot to tell you their origin or where they live guys! Its personal info. and they might dont want to reveal.

  • fireswordshurtugalalfakin

Sorry if that Ill say sounds stupid, but what does the word “snog” means?I know its a stupid question, but you know, English isnt my parents language & I have never heard the word “snog” before.PhoenixLord, why give up Shurtugal.com?In order not to get bored, you can(if you havent done it already)share your thoughts & your theories with us in the comments of the 1st interview in the home-page.I just wrote another theory. Its very funny, believe me!!!

  • PhoenixLord

lol America?anyways padfoot has a british ( who says snog anymore?) and if the interveiw doesnt come in 1 week im giving up on shurtugal.

  • Daniel

I know where Padfoot lives, though I’m sworn to secrecy about it. If she was Austrailian or British would she celebrate Indepence Day?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Um, no, not from Australia, though I bet that is a brilliant place to live!

  • Rutscbk

my guess padfoot is that your Australian? We Aussies say mate a fair bit…

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    You are welcome.

  • jordi

    thanks for the warning padfoot

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I was just warning you, mate.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

You would be wrong, but very much surpised then.

  • Stenrgarm

I did not give away much….

  • timmy

ok yeah i guess you are

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    I know!
Stenrgarm, becareful what you give away, mate, Jordi has not finished Brisingr, yet.

  • Stenrgarm

And before he went out to fight Murtgah she was about to say something but stopped.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Aye, I think she is too.
    *SPOILER WARNING FOR JORDI!*

Yeah, running all of that way to find him.

  • Stenrgarm

I think Arya is already starting to fall for Eragon

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Just guess.

Haha, I wonder if Eragon is finally going to snog Arya in the next book.

  • timmy

    i have know idea

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Part of it, Jordi.

    Timmy, what do you thinK?

  • timmy

hey padfoot are you from England ? cus you say mate alot

  • jordi

probably a stupid question but you got your name from harry potter right?

  • jordi

    ya i know

i pre ordered it just because of the extra 2 scenes

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Wow, then you had better watch out for spoilers on here, mate.
    No.

  • jordi

did you pre-order the deluxe edition?

  • jordi

    first

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I am rereading, Brisingr, have you read it already, or is this your first time?

  • jordi

ya i am going to read lotr and children of hurin next sadly i have not read ether yet im reading brisingr now

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    tolkienandpaolinifanatic, okay.

I like Aragorn too, but I like Sam more, his is so innocent and caring, he is the unlikely hero. Oh, and, mate, just call me Padfoot, it is so much easier.

  • nobunaga

man u guys have gotten me excited. i keep checkin by every few hours for news

  • tolkienandpaolinifanatic

PadfootUnewraithSlayer: Most of the Children of Hurin is in the Silmarillion, and I believe that it is in Unfinished Tales (which is a collection of stories all through out the history of middle earth) as well, but I may be wrong. It’s been a while since I read it.

My favorite LOTR character would have to be Aragorn.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Thank you, MeghanSwiftSword! The one of Blodhgarm is also one of my new ones.

I know, I love Sam, he is the best!

  • MeghanSwiftSword

Hahaha! I can’t wait to find out what Mike has in store, but I do like suprises…..

Yay! You’re Elva drawing is up!:D You’re really good at drawing Padfoot!

    P.S.- Sam ROX!:)

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Hahahaha.

  • M194

    ahhhhh! mike commet is murder!!!1!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Eka Elrun ono, Mike!!! You answered my question about the fan art, it is up now!!! ;D
My Blodhgarm and If Elva was a Rider is up, thanks, Mike!

  • PhoenixLord

JMAN098 if you are using a hotmail or a yahoo the validation wont come. use a gmail. the validation will appear in the spam box. Just go to google and press gmail.

  • fireswordshurtugalalfakin

OK,Mike, you managed to make me eager about what you are “cooking”!Its very nice to prepare new things to keep our interest high. Also,I have an idea.I believe it would be very nice to create a questionairre of multiple choice in which(whoever wants)could learn by choosing 1 of each questions choice if ” he is” Elf,Human,Dragon,Dwarf or Urgal. Also, if for someone would be proved that he would be Elf,Human or Dragon,he would filling in another multiple choice questionairre in order to find out if he could be bound with a Dragon or with a Human or Elf or not.I think that would be greate Mike!Pleeeaaase do it!!!!!!!

  • fireswordshurtugalalfakin

Claudia, when the time for the next Q&A submitting questions comes,Mike will post the comment in Shurtugals home-page,in order to start submitting questions.I dont know the date, but dont be afraid,if you keep a close eye in Shurtugal.com,youll see it.

  • Claudia

When can we submit our questions for next Q&A?

  • JMAN098

i know this is not the right place to post this but it is th eonly place i can post tht name is my real username (minus the caps) i cant post anywher ebecause i havnt gotten my validation email ive looked in my junk files and re sent it a hundred times ….. im not trying to complain i would just like help because this is an awsome site and i wanna share my theories also i know ive typed my email address correctly and ive even tried using one of my other emails and it didnt get any emails either …… anyway i hope someone will help me and i thank whoever does ALLOT

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Good, but very… dark, if you get my meaning. There is alot the darkness in the characters.

  • jordi

is “Children of Hurin” any good?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hey, Mike, just one question, do you have any idea when the fan art is going to be updated? I have two that I think are funny and I was just wondering when they might be put up. Thanks.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

tolkienandpaolinifanatic, I just started reading them last year so I have no read as much as you, but I want to read all of them. Have you read Children of Hurin? You did not mention that one. Who is your favorite character in Lord of the Rings, mine is Sam.

*Frodo like voice* Alright then, keep your secrets, Mike! ;D

  • Xelba

    alucard;

    I hope so.

  • alucard

I don’t think we’ll have to wait much longer. It sounds like they are very close to being done (or possibly finished) with choosing the questions, so I would expect the interview up within a week.

  • *InsertNameHere*

@ Bookworm: Be patient. Not only were there 800 questions to sort through, but Mike also has other jobs that take up much of his time. Just because there is a planned date doesn’t make it for sure, if you don’t believe me, look at Square-Enix’s games, some of that stuff gets moved back an entire year before coming out.

  • tolkienandpaolinifanatic

Mike’s last post was almost as cryptic as the one before! Can’t you tell us what some of these surprises are?

I have read all the LOTRs, the Hobbit, the Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, The book of lost tales part 1 and part of part 2. I found the family trees in the Silmarillion to be rather fascinating. It’s rather interesting to find out that Elrond is actually Aragorn’s great, great, great, great…uncle, or that Galadriel is actually Elrond’s mother-in-law.

  • Bookworm119

When is this interview coming out? I thought it was the beginning of the month and sure, everyone gets behind sometimes. But it has been over a week and I am curious as to when they interview is coming out and will all of the monthly interviews be late? Or will they be just approximately a month? I’m sorry if I sound rude but I really need sleep and this is bugging me.

  • Mike

To answer everyone’s questions: I have many surprises cooking. We’ve got a decent wait for Book 4 and I plan to make the most out of it! I think everyone will be happy with what we’ve got planned for the future. However, like all things do, these projects take time. I wanted to tease you all so that you realize that quietness on Shur’tugal may mean great things are coming. We’re always working.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I FORGOT THAT WAS ABOUT LUTHIEN TINUVIEL AND BEREN!!! I loved the tale of them in the Fellowship!! I felt bad for Turin, I thought it was kind of funny what he did to Saeros though.

    HAPPY BELATED 4TH!

  • Raevyn08

    Ganon:RiderofArgorok~
The same thing happened to me with yahoo…I forgot my password for IF but never got the e-mail with the link to change it, so I had to set up a completely different profile with gmail. And now there’s a profile on there that’s really me, but I can’t use it.

    PadfootUnewraithSlayer~
You should DEFINITELY read the Silmarillion. I loved it, especially the parts about Beren & Luthien and Turin Turumbar (which of course was made into Children of Hurin)…these have more action than some of the other parts, though the other parts were interesting too.

    Mike~
Ditto tolkienandpaolinifanatic: will we find out the 2nd good thing when you release the interview transcript?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I want to, but I have not had the chance to buy it, I heard it is really good though.

  • tolkienandpaolinifanatic

Have you read the Silmarillion? It is really good.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

You are welcome. Aye, I do, he is my third favorite author, I have read all of the LotRs, the Hobbit, and Children of Hurin. He was such a good author.

  • tolkienandpaolinifanatic

PadfootUnewraithSlayer: Thanks for the suggestions. I have always wondered if it was a mistake, or something more. I take it you like Tolkien too!

Also, Mike: Will you release your second bit of good news when you release the interview?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahaha, then what is the surprise, mate? Why are you speaking so vaguely to us? Speak more clearly, please!

tolkienandpaolinifanatic: nice name, I like it. I might have an alternate spelling like some words in the English language. I have kind of always spelled it ‘risa’ so I did not really notice.

  • tolkienandpaolinifanatic

has anyone ever noticed that in eragon the word for ‘rise’ in the AL is spelled ‘reisa’, while in Eldest and Brisingr it is spelled ‘risa’? Does anyone know if there is a reason for this?

  • Mike

I like to tease people. However, I will tell you that whatever I was teasing about has nothing to do with Book 4. I’m a fan just like the rest of you – I don’t know anything until the book releases!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Aye, rather like Gandalf, they speak in riddles.

  • iHateElves

Mike and Cp have one thing in common… They LOVE to see us bang our heads against the wall…

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    C’mon, Mike, please tell!!!

  • alucard

I was referring to Mike’s #2 bit of good news; for some reason the system deleted the first .5 of my cmt.

  • alucard

Does that mean, like, never? Or just not atm?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hey, what is the use to mentioning the second bit of news if you can not tell us? To make us ask questions? Hahaha, if that is it, it is working, you got my interest, mate.

  • jason

    yay for good news

  • fatherofpurity

    :0

I think Mike knows something about the 4th book! Tell us, please! 😀

  • Mike

Good news: at this time, we do not have plans to switch the interviews to being bi-monthly. We’re going to push on with our once-per-month setup using new organization tools. This month was a rare exception due to the overwhelming amount of entries received in addition to some other jobs that have required 95% of my time.

    Two bits of good news:

    1. Thanks to our lovely staffer Rinion, this month’s questions were narrowed down to about 35. I picked through those for the very best and we hope to have our interview published soon!

    2. I can’t tell you #2! 😉

  • Khephran

haha, i didn’t see any sparklers up here in alaska either

  • Lunario

i cant wait for those questions to get in

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahaha, nice to see you back, mate!

  • MeghanSwiftSword

Man, I’ve been on vacation for 6 days and havn’t got time to be back on, and it’s great to be back. Happy 4th of July!

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahaha, it’s okay, I was too tired last night for the sentence to make sense, so it was not just you.

I know some of it, but not all.

  • jordi

sort of late but ya “PadfootUnewraithSlayer” that makes more sence then what i thought you said

    and
“iHateElves” ya actualy i had to look the whole sentence up lol

  • Ganon:RiderofArgorok

Ahh, thank you all very much :). If I don’t have the e-mail by tomorrow I shall try that.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

I have no idea, I would not think so.

  • Ganon:RiderofArgorok

Ok, thank you PheonixLord. If I havn’t recieved the e-mail by tomorrow morning I shall try that. Does it matter if it is a ‘.co.uk’ address?

  • PhoenixLord

um… when the email comes click the link but if it doesn’t arrive soon then you should try a gmail.

  • Ganon:RiderofArgorok

Thanks, Daniel. I have checked my e-mail and it is right so I have done the ‘resend validation’ thing. If that doesn’t work, does anybody know where I should take it from there?

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    ;D

  • Daniel

    Ganon:RiderofArgorok,
I used a Yahoo! account to activate my account on here. My activation emaill arrived within an hour. It may be that you put in a misspelled email address.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Just one random question, Mike: Do you know when the fan art is going to be updated?

  • Ganon:RiderofArgorok

I know this is off-topic, but PheonixLord said that hotmail accounts don’t work on here. Do Yahoo accounts work, as i’ve been waiting a few weeks for my validation and really want to start posting on IF. Sorry that this is the wrong place, but I’ve tried everything else. Thanks for your time 🙂

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

We know you are doing your best, mate. You and the other staff do a really good job, Mike.

  • alucard

I suspect a lot of people will probably reject to this, but I think that, for the sake of the Shurtugal staff, the interviews should be bi-monthly. Sorting through the questions and setting up a time to meet with Mr. P must require a huge amount of work, especially with his busy schedule and ~800 potential questions. Also, the time cushion will build more anticipation for the interview’s release.

Not that I don’t appreciate the interviews from happening at all. Its awesome that we can ask CP any questions about the series at all. Also, I thank everyone who has devoted their time and effort to make these interviews possible.

On topic: I didn’t see so much as a sparkler on the 4th….mm, well there’s always next year.

  • Mike

Also, while this month’s interview is delayed, you can expect next month’s (technically the end of July, maybe one or two days into August) to be on time. However, like everything, that could end up changing. I’ll try my hardest to make sure it doesn’t.

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Hahaha, aye, it is good so that you do not have to waste time when reading to stop and look it up.

  • iHateElves

So many of you people can use the AL without having to look up words…

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Evarinya is one of my friends on here, and there are two Shur’tugalar. I meant ‘our’ but did not have enough time to look it up so I used the next best thing.

  • jordi

what do you mean by this:

    STARS!
    go to your dragon rider!!!

    ?????????????

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    EVARINYA!!!!

  • joehall

I apologize for being impatient its a personality flaw of mine, but I need to sate my thirst for more inheritance.

  • PadfootUewraithSlayer

Aye, mate, you and the other staff members are bloody wicked, Mike!!! We really appreciate you guys!!! ;D

Even though I am usually one of the ones you have to remind to stay on topic, you and your fricaia have my respect!

  • DJDshadeslayerMSIII

Mike, I just wanted to let you know myself and the VAST majority of Inheritance/shurtugal.com fans really appreciate what y’all are doing for us with these interviews each month. Keep up the hard work! w00t w00t!

  • fireswordshurtugalalfakin

  • fatherofpurity

    My sincerest apologies mike,
At times i believe we forget what a tremenedous favour your doing for us. So thank you.
And take as much time as you need 🙂

  • Mike

Not only do we have well over 800 questions to sort through but I have another full time job. Please be happy with how things end up working out and understand that while there may be a slight delay, a lot of work goes on behind-the-scenes to make what you read happen.

  • nobunaga

man i thought they said they’d have the Q and A at the end of every month. but i guess they do have alot of questions to sort through…

  • Rutscbk

joehall if you read the thing you would say they where going through the HUNDREDS of questions. If you think you can go through hundreds of questions and decide which are the best that will be answered then maybe you should get a hob since you think you can do better.

  • joehall

wtf suppose to get interview with cp at the begining of every month

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

Luthien? That is from the the tale of Luthien and Beren? The Luthien that was also call Tinuviel? Wicked!!

    Happy Fourth!!!

  • Luthien

    Happy Fourth of July!!!

  • PhoenixLord

Why does everyone forget about Canada Day? Oh well. Cant wait for a Great interview! Keep it going Mike! ( if you want to make an account use a gmail. hotmail doesnt work.) I was Navi

  • fatherofpurity

So when will we be getting the interview? 🙂

  • jordi

hey what about Canada day on the first!?!?!

  • Raevyn08

No fair, I’m still stuck on the 3rd…it’s about 10:40… Happy Fourth, everyone!
Can’t wait for the transcript, Mike! Keep it up! 🙂
Btw, CP didn’t really answer the first question about Murtagh’s POV. “Anything is possible”??? I suppose he can’t give everything away. And in the Brisingr audiobook interview he already pretty much gave away that he’d be including Murtagh a LOT more, so I’m happy. 😉

  • PadfootUnewraithSlayer

    Hahahaha, aye, time zones!

  • L

Happy 4th to all American =)

  • *InsertNameHere*

*facepalm*… but its not the Fourth yet… stupid time zones.
